MS Walk and Fun Run - 2017

Multiple sclerosis is a disease of the central nervous system affecting more young adult Australians than any other neurological condition.
While multiple sclerosis is a lifelong disease for which a cause and cure has not been found yet, doctors and scientists are making discoveries about the treatment and management of multiple sclerosis every day.
While the search for a cure continues, MS helps people living with multiple sclerosis to access the services, support, treatment, and information they need to live full and happy lives.

Dunn & Farrugia are proud to be a supporter
of MS Walk and Fun Run - 2017.

Subject: Relay for Life - Thank you!

Hello to all of those that supported us!

Thank you so much for your donation. The boys and I raised just over $2100 and the relay in total raised in excess of $200 000 for the Cancer Council. I met my goal and lapped for just over 68kms and Brock took the 'dead of night' shift to give me a couple of hours sleep. :) Some of Brock’s mates lapped with us during the night which was great.

Together, hopefully, we have made a little bit of a difference. One day, hopefully, a future generation will say “Remember when people got cancer?”

Thanks again for joining us.

Sony Foundation’s eighth annual Wharf4Ward 2016

Dunn & Farrugia are proud to support Sony Foundation’s eighth annual Wharf4Ward.

A record $1.1 million was raised at Wharf4Ward in support of Sony Foundation’s youth cancer program, 'You Can'.

‘You Can’ is a youth cancer program set up by Sony Foundation Australia in 2010. Its aim is to fund specialised youth cancer centres and services around Australia to address the current gap in the health care system.

Young people aged between 16 and 25 have significantly poorer survival rates than children and older adults due to a lack of access to age appropriate care.

Hope for Cambodian Children Foundation

Penrith Anglican College

www.pac.nsw.edu.au

Each year a small group of Year 10 students and teachers from Penrith Anglican College travel to Cambodia to partake in charitable work at the “Hope for Cambodia” orphanage, situated in Battambang, south of Phnom Penh. The students spend time at the orphanage developing a special bond and enjoying various activities together. Funds raised from the College assist with many projects ranging from the purchase of treadle sewing machines to bags of rice which are handed to village people and support of the “Mothers to Babies” program. The College purchases milk formula. The milk formula is the only way these mums can stop their babies from getting HIV through breast feeding. With the money raised the College was able to support 3 mums and babies through the 20 month program at a cost of $700 to $800 per baby.

Dunn & Farrugia supports the Hope for Cambodian Children Foundation.

"The time for our trip is fast approaching and the students are getting excited about our time away. We have been involved in some fundraising activities - face painting at the Spring Farm and a mufti-day here at school which was specifically to support the Shades for AIDS program.

Thank you to all those people who have supported us, both at the Spring Fair and through your donations for the mufti-day. We would also like to acknowledge the very generous donation from Mrs Dunn of Dunn & Farrugia, who helped to make our contribution to the Hope for Cambodian Children Foundation our best effort yet.

We look forward to sharing our many experiences in Cambodia when we return and thank all the parents for allowing us to take their children on such a worthwhile trip to support a community in another country."

Rotary Club of Penrith Valley - Festival of Carols by Candlelight

Each year the Rotary Club of Penrith Valley hosts the Festival of Carols by Candlelight at Penrith Paceway. A wonderful community project enjoyed by all age groups. Each year Dunn & Farrugia sponsors the Santa Claus & Lolly Sponsorship Package. As the children look up into the sky Santa can be seen in the distance in his helicopter. To see the children’s faces is a delight in itself. Santa lands on the field and hands every child a bag of lollies as he cheers through the crowd.

Adam Crouch Foundation

www.adamcrouchfoundation.org.au/events/past-events/dubbo-to-springwood-run-2013

The Adam Crouch Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation that was established in 2010 in loving memory of the Crouch family’s third child Adam, who tragically drowned in a friend’s backyard pool on the 12th October 2007.  The memories he left behind are what drives the Adam Crouch Foundation to try and save other families from heartbreak. Drowning happens quickly and silently. No matter what the circumstance, it changes the lives of all involved forever.  The foundations goal is to provide ongoing community education, awareness and advocacy through our message “Save Precious Lives from Drowning”. By working together we hope that our community will be equipped with the necessary skills and information to enjoy water activities safely.  Each year a group of enthusiastic supports participate in the Dubbo to Springwood run.  Dunn & Farrugia proudly supports this event.
